Rockies Rally October 31

Rally to support the Rockies is planned for Skyline Park downtown at 11:45. 15th and Arapahoe, just off the 16th street mall. Even though they got swept, I am not sure if Skyline Park is a big enough venue...

Buy the Rockies and Sell the Broncos

The atmostphere at Coors Field was phenomenal this weekend. I was at Game three and there is no doubt that Colorado sports fans are the best at supporting their team when things are going well. The Rockies simply seemed to be overmatched by the Red Sox and all their momentum disappeared during that 8 day layoff. Too bad, but great exposure for the city and great to re-ignite the excitement for our the Rox that had completely disappeared in the last few years. Maybe Coors Field will continue to have some energy next season.

The Broncos are simply in for a long season. 19-13 loss to Green Bay last night. The offense can't get into the endzone. Cutler looks great, but there seem to be some major holes around him either due to injuries, bad GMing, or bad schemes. It's now time to focus on the Avs and the Nugs...

The Denver Blog - Day 1

This blog is all about Denver, Colorado - a truly great city - from a native who knows the insider secrets and who keeps an ear to the ground.

I'll be posting on restaurants, activities, politics, news, sports, weather and anything related to Denver that comes to mind. Comments are very welcome from others who have their finger on the pulse of Denver and want to contribute.

Me? I am a late twenty something who has lived in the Mile High City my entire life except for a few short years away in college. I know the city and the people and wanted to create a blog that would be a resource for anybody to quickly get an idea of what is happening in Denver.

I especially like to get out and find the things that are unique and special about the city.
