Check out the Rocky Mountain Independent, a news website that has some content by former staffers of the Rocky Mountain News. This is a different site than the InDenverTimes.com which is still active and producing content.
However, InDenverTimes seems to be syndicating a lot of content from other sites, including the Rocky Mountain Independent.
New sites like this should be supported by the local community to preserve local voices and perspective. While physical newspapers may be in trouble, we can still support the content producers and battle the Googlification of news content.
